Course overview

Trauma Responsive Policing is a course created to assist law enforcement in identifying children and adults who have been exposed to traumatic events, and to enhance their ability to successfully interact with vulnerable populations, while ascertaining the tools needed to help officers reduce crisis situations. This program focuses on a variety of important components such as identifying trauma and its impact on the brain, understanding The ACE’s Framework, illustrating the consequences of trauma on an individual’s behavior, and gaining knowledge of forensic interviewing and de-escalation techniques.
